vanities

obsessed with these gorgeous skulls accessories from french label vanities! starting their journey in saint tropez a year ago, franc thomas & vincent ribat come up with designs using old materials taken from the vintage cloakroom like herm├Ęs scarfs, nina ricci dresses, and some striped brooks brothers shirts, uniting them by tiny little skulls sculpted in bone. calling it vanities is paying homage to the renaissance painting style with the same name, which used the skull as an emblem of death - memento mori - whispering the fragility of life and the importance of seizing the moment. i still cannot decide am i gonna get a lapel pin, or the bracelet, what do u think, people?

We had them at 50% off here in Sg! But I did not get them... it's still very expensive for a piece of cloth and a skull. But so lovely:-P

I second Aova's Wardrobe, the pins are so versatile and will fit in on almost any piece. Although I've never own anything with a skull on it.
