haver sack
i got this HAVER SACK breton strip shirt on sale and then fell in love with this brand from japan, founded and designed by koji norihide. the new york times describes it as “a japanese line with a very english to the manor born sensibility," and it was a big hit at pitti uomo. all those tweed knickerbockers and wide leg high waisted linen trousers (very charlie siem when he was performing in cuba) just swept me away. the aesthetic is very 20’s-esque and totally de rigeur, but with an idiosyncratic twist. and i think while the hipster / heritage thing is more blue color and getting too expected, this is the future of choice menswear with a direction gravitating towards aristocracy, pretty much in like a sebastian flyte from brideshed revisited going to cuba kinda way.
