filofax

i love FILOFAX, especially the a5 leather planners, just because they give me the perfect excuse to write with my hands, using a pen, and do therapeutic collages there. its origins go way back to the first world war when an englishman working in the states came across an american organizing system consisting largely of technical leaves for engineers & scientists, then a london based company was founded in 1921 to market personal organization systems by mail order. nine years later, they registered the trademark "filofax", meaning "file of facts". my collection include a black and a blue OSTERLEY. the latest find is a MALDEN in ochre color that i got in london. you know with blogging and typing on your iphone too much, your calligraphy will eventually fade into oblivion. and we can't let this happen more filofax filofax spread 3 filofaxes 3 filofax 1 3 filofaxes 2 filofax 2

I love your Filofax! It is amazing! do you use the week on 2 pages for your collages or do you do it on day to a page?

I tried to do collages in my Filofax but it was hard to keep doing it as i would find things i wanted to stuck in and always forget!

It looks amazing!!! xxx

I like how your style extends to the wall of your place and the pages of your notebooks.

Oh, sometimes I think only a few people left on earth use Filofax. I love their colored lined papers, and the elusive one I always seek - white onion-skin with the word NOTES on top. I have old F'faxes too, but love yours.

Cheers!

Love the collages, hope you'll post more of them!!!

BTW, you got the model names of your Filofaxes wrong: the black one is a Balmoral and the blue one looks like an Ascot. They are definitely no Osterleys, cos they have a different closure!
