CARVEN opened its first lovely hong kong store not too long ago and there was a party last night celebrating the glory. this kinda scene is my thing no more but i am so glad to run into an old friend of mine - 凌! we used to work together like 11 years ago, haha. catching up with your people feeling that familiar genuine warm vibe trumps fluttering around like a hooker and squeezing yourself next to a so-called celebrity and then taking pictures so that you can tweet or something. i do look forward to the CARVEN mens fall / winter collection by guillaume henry though. from the zip cable sweater in boiled wool to the duffle coat in wool drape with dramatic puffa sleeves, they all look like costumes ( which you can pull off in real life ) for a magical school play with a buttload of childlike sense of wonder. the design is something you can gear up in for the next awfully big adventure. oh, the tapestry backpack and the roll neck marl cable knit sweater with a pair of contrasting sleeves are the things that i am already drooling over for
