growing up as a single child, i played with & talked to myself a hell lot, t'was fun enough to not have to have an imaginary friend. but whenever i came across a story or a film in which some kid got to have an unforgettable adventure or something with a dear friend, i would look down & pondered a bit, hoping that i would have felt that heart-tickling camaraderie & embraced that adventuresome journey with someone that inspired me. perhaps that was the loneliness that everyone was talking about. anyway, that camaraderie, that friendship, that adventuresome journey, is what we could grow up 2gether is all about. in case you do not have a fucking clue, "we could grow up together" is what Elliott said to E.T, convincing this foreign friend from a planet far far away to stay on earth; those two were the original #wecouldgrowup2gether buddies. however, unfortunately, it's "we could", not "we can", because right after the coming-of-age chapter ends, they always have to part, just like the movie clip below, which is one of the saddest yet most beautiful things i've ever seen in my life, which brings me to tears everytime i see it; & the way my heart aches, is exactly the same way it did the first time i saw the film in the cinema ...
