dae-oh bookstore opened its door way back in 1951. now run as a bookstore + cafe by the grandchildren of a couple who established this lovely place of old world charm, it is one of the reasons why i find soeul so wonderful. this city is big ( not just the size ) enough to not only embrace & nurture something very modern ( which is usually paired with commerce, economy, & the rush of money-making ), but a beautiful thing called heritage, which is alway enchanting
