early brunch at HOI POLLOI is quite darling. with live music playing & a not-yet too crowded or sceney ambience, you can simply enjoy your time here by yourself, with a book, or your laptop ( the abundance of electric sockets right next to you is impressive ) in this modern brasserie. the totally british menu with a little bit of an outlandish twist is also something you won't forget cos the choices are colourful & more than enough. what i had was a dish of some potato farls, some fried eggs, & black pudding. yes, black pudding, a type of blood sausage commonly eaten in britain & ireland, generally made from pork blood & a relatively high proportion of oatmeal. yeah, the idea is kinda ew, but worth the try
