an ernest bowl of tempura

tempura vsco with words tempura, 天ぷら, is a japanese dish of seafood or vegetables that have been battered & deep fried; the ones that are cooked splendidly never taste greasy. together with some rice that are glistened with sweet soy source, it's always calming & fullfilling in the same time. the recipe was introduced to japan by portuguese jesuit missionaries in the city of nagasaki during the 16th century. it's been a popular food eaten at street vendors called yatai since the genroku era
