today's ensemble : that pair of thom browne spectacles

thom browne optical glasses back in the heydays of 1939, ray-ban launched a new version of the aviator shades named the "outdoorsman"; designed for specific groups such as hunting, shooting, & fishing enthusiasts, the design featured a top bar called a sweat bar ( or brow bar ) which was created to catch sweat from fallin' into the eyes. not only this modern-day pair by THOM BROWNE whispers the charm of antiquity, the sweat bar design also gives the impression that the wearer's eyes sit a little higher up, fashioning an illusion of a longer face shape
